早在一百五十多年前,香港被形容為「荒蕪之地」。時至今日,香港已發展成為一個國際金融商貿中心,躋身世界大都會之列。香港曾受英國管治達一個半世紀,在1997 7 1 日回歸中國,成為中華人民共和國的特別行政區。

香港位於中國東南端,總面積達1 104 平方公里,由香港島、一海之隔的九龍半島和新界(包括262 個離島)組成,其中郊區多集中在新界。香港在2006年約有690萬人口

香港移植學會是一個主要以醫生及護士組成的學術團體。我們的會員包括了大部份在香港參與移植工作的醫護人員目前有會員130人及附屬會員90現屆會長爲腎科周嘉歡醫生香港移植學會的主要目的爲提昇會員對器官移植之認識及推廣器官捐贈


Hong Kong, described as a 'barren rock' over 150 years ago, has become a world-class financial, trading and business centre and, indeed, a great world city. Hong Kong became a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of the People's Republic of China on July 1, 1997, after a century and a half of British administration.

Hong Kong situated at the south-eastern tip of China. With a total area of 1 104 square kilometres, it covers Hong Kong Island, Kowloon Peninsula just opposite, and the New Territories – the more rural section of Hong Kong, which also includes 262 outlying islands. Hong Kong's population was about 6.90 million in 2006.

Hong Kong Society of Transplantation is a professional organization consisting mainly and including most of the doctors and nurses involved in organ transplantation in Hong Kong. We have around 130 full members and 90 associate members. The current President is Dr. Ka-foon Chau who is a nephrologist. The main objectives of the Society are to enhance understanding of the advancement of science and knowledge in the field of organ transplantation and organ harvesting and to promote organ donation in Hong Kong.
