Winter World Transplant Games 2008 Rovaniemi

The Finnish Transplant Sports Association hosted the Winter World Transplant Games for 2008. The games were held in Rovaniemi, Finland in 25.-30.3.2008.

The location for the Games is only kilometres away from the Arctic Circle in the deep of Lapland! Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland, is an international town of winter sports and is located at the confluence of Lapland’s mighty rivers Kemijoki and Ounasjoki. As the capital of the province, Rovaniemi has always been a gateway to Lapland.

Rovaniemi provides versatile sports, educational and cultural facilities. The surroundings of Ounasvaara provides a wide range of winter sport opportunities and within 10 kilometers from the city centre you can find undisturbed nature or a busy international airport.
